Following the armed conflict in Ukraine and the humanitarian tragedy experienced by Ukrainian refugees in neighbouring countries or those who have remained in the country, the Monaco Cardio-Thoracic Centre quickly decided to take action by setting up several initiatives.
On 10th March, a pallet of medicines destined for the Children’s Hospital in Kiev was sent, thanks to the help of the Monegasque Red Cross. It was delivered to the hospital a week later.
Since mid-March, the Centre has also been contributing to the accommodation of 2 Ukrainian mothers and 2 children near the Principality.
Since its creation, the Centre has been involved in humanitarian and charitable actions and has always been involved in helping the most disadvantaged patients and their families, but also in helping healthcare structures in developing countries by sending containers of equipment.
